Class project

I took a two day class from Vikki Pignatelli.  She taught how to make curves, using your machine, no hand stitching.  Great class, great teacher.

Wow! Good morning Hawaii!

I'm not a bright orange person at all. I saw this fabric in Bakersfield California at Strawberry Patches. The pattern called for 3 X 3 rows. I wanted it just a little bigger. This will be in the Hawaii Quilt Guild show, April 29th-May 9, 2010. Just in case you're in the neighborhood, stop by our show.

Hawaii T- Shirt Quilt

I have made this quilt as a sample for the T-Shirt class I will be teaching. The class will we offered in June and July at The Quilt Hut in Honolulu Hawaii. The sashing and border is the wrong side of the Hawaiian print fabric. I have made a pattern on how to make this quilt. I will have them for sale at quilt stores.

T- Shirt Quilt

This quilt was made for my brother-in-law, Karl. These are his favorite T-shirts.

This is the back of the quilt. We used some of Karl's favorite front emblems to make a row on the back.

Waste not, not even selvages.

This quilt was so much fun to make. I started making it while we were still in Texas, and just now finished it. I had friends save selvages from their quilt projects, also.

Mini 12"Quilt

Most of the blocks have 5 pieces in them. This was made by using the paper piece technique.

Baby clothes memory quilt

I kept the smocking of a dress.

I used the pockets and buttons of some of the outfits.



Lable for back. I used the lace trim off the outfit she is wearing on the picture. The fabric from the outfit is used on the front of the quilt.

Thread Catcher / Pin cushion

Paul and Kara gave me the pattern and the fabric to make this thread catcher.

Sunbonnet Sue Quilt

Everyone in my Quilt Bee made a block to put in this quilt. We made the quilt for one of our friends that is moving to Florida.




This is the block I made and then I quilted the whole quilt.

This was made for my new grand daughter and her brother. May they always ride together.

I Spy Ocean!

This is a twist on a I Spy Quilt. It is a little bag that should keep a child busy for awhile looking at all the ocean items.

T- Shirt Quilt

This T-shirt quilt was made for a girl in Texas that will graduate in May.  These are her favorite running shirts.

Surfer Dude!

This quilt was hand embroidered by my sister-in-law, Sue and her two sisters, Linda and Robin.  It was made for Linda's first grandchild's birth.  I pieced the top and then quilted the quilt.

Princesses

This quilt is made using the BQ2 pattern and then adding extra fabric so the quilt would go over a pillow. It also is for a twin bed for the same friends granddaughter.

This quilt was my own design and made for a friends grandson for Christmas. It is for a twin size bed.

I love making pink quilts. I'm so glad we will have a little girl in the family in a few days.

Colby asked me to make him a Spiderman Quilt. This has minky on the back.

Jack's Quilt

Kirk (my nephew) wanted me to make this twin size bed quilt for a gift for a friend in CA. We started it and finished in one week. A lot of planning and thought went into every detail of this quilt. Clear down to the label.

This was made for Joann Marques. My Dad and Sarah wanted me to make this quilt for her, to give her as a house warming gift. It was lots of fun to make.
